The VIPRE Initiative is hosted by the Center on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. The Initiative is led by its Lead Researcher, Jonathan Luke Austin, whose theoretical and empirical work on the conditions of possibility for violent human rights abuses forms the core conceptual framework of the Initiative. Joining Austin are three co-Principal Investigators – Professors Anna Leander, Keith Krause, and Riccardo Bocco – who each possess a particular area of expertise critical to the success of the Initiative. A number of doctoral students also form a part of the Initiative and collaborate on core research activities. For details on the VIPRE team click here.
